Ryan McCormack

Col. McCormack is a U.S. Army field artillery officer who commanded at all levels from platoon through brigade. Prior to Brookings, he served as chief of staff for one of the Army’s combat divisions where he helped lead during multiple deployments, both contingency and rotational, to the INDOPACOM, EUCOM, and CENTCOM areas of responsibility. He also executed the U.S. Army’s modernization strategy at the division-level. He previously served on the Joint Staff at the Pentagon in the operations directorate focusing efforts on contingency and counter-terrorism operations along with global force management requirements for the joint force. He is a native of Long Island, New York and is a graduate of the United States Military Academy.
