Jimmy Zheng is a summer research intern at The Hamilton Project (THP). He is currently a rising senior at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, majoring in Economics and Statistics with a minor in Mathematics. Before joining THP, Jimmy conducted research with Prof. Peter R. Hansen at UNC-Chapel Hill on financial econometrics, focusing on sign-based estimation of asset correlations and time-varying correlation modeling. At THP, he is enthusiastic about exploring innovative policy-oriented research areas with the team and learning from leading economic thinkers.
