Erin Trish

Nonresident Fellow – Economic Studies, Center on Health Policy

Erin Trish is a nonresident fellow in Economic Studies at Brookings. At the University of Southern California, Trish is the co-director of the USC Schaeffer Center for Health Policy & Economics and an associate professor of pharmaceutical and health economics.

Dr. Trish’s research examines the intersection of public policy and health care markets. She has been published in leading health policy, health economics, and medical journals. She has testified in the U.S. House of Representatives and the California State Assembly and presented her work at numerous federal agencies, including the Congressional Budget Office, Federal Trade Commission, Office of the Assistant Secretary for Planning and Evaluation, and the Center for Consumer Information and Insurance Oversight. In 2018 she received the Seema Sonnad Emerging Leader in Managed Care Research Award. She serves on the Editorial Boards of the American Journal of Managed Care and Medical Care Research and Review. She has served as a consultant and litigation expert on matters in the hospital, health insurance, health information technology, and life sciences sectors.

Dr. Trish received her Ph.D. in health policy and economics from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health and a B.S. in Biomedical Engineering from Johns Hopkins University.
