Talajeh Livani is a senior consultant at the World Bank Group with over a decade of experience working on countries in the South Asia and Middle East and North Africa regions. Her research and operational focus are in the areas of women’s economic empowerment, social inclusion, and social protection. She previously worked at, among others, the United Nations and the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars. Talajeh has a doctorate in International Development from the University of Maryland-College Park and a master’s degree in International Affairs from the George Washington University.
