Today, Brookings President Strobe Talbott participated in a live Spreecast hosted by the Wall Street Journal, with WSJ politics chief Aaron Zitner and national security reporter Jay Solomon. They discussed what’s next in the standoff with Russia over Ukraine and what role the U.S. and allies should play.
After a two-decade career with TIME magazine, Talbott served during the Clinton administration as ambassador-at-large and special adviser to the secretary of state on the New Independent States (the former Soviet Union), and was deputy secretary of state from 1994-2001.
